Definition of Nitrogen (N):
A colorless, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic and non-gaseous form that makes up about 78% of the volume and about 77% of the weight of the Earth's atmosphere and is stored at this level by the nitrogen cycle. ۔ It is an integral part of all animal and plant tissue (in the form of amino acids and nucleic acids), which comes from the soil, fertilizer or nitrogen cycle. For industrial use, nitrogen is obtained by air liquefaction and diffusion, mainly for the manufacture of ammonia, dyes, explosives and fertilizers.
