It's good to be in shape, but if you want to focus on football, run and lift more weights.

Football is based on plyometrics. You should focus your training on jumping, running, high speed, endurance, agility and strength. Use active movement and include a successful strength training program. Be sure to talk to your parents about everything you see on this site. I now.

Nesting doesn't seem to be enough for aerobic exercise. To warm up, we ran at least 2 miles when I fought on the HS. And it has to be practical.
